A couple of dirty videos

Here's some lighter relief. I don't normally link to cycle promotion videos, as I don't think they do much good. Particularly when produced by CTC and starring someone supposedly representative of all cyclists who is made to look like a cross between an alien and a female comicbook superhero, with the message you should ride a bike because it will "save the planet". (The ridiculous £300,000 Cycle Hero seems to have been been taken off the net by its original makers/funders, though it can be found here.)

But some superior specimens have come to my attention, produced, no doubt, far more cheaply. So here they are. The first, from Bike Minded, a temporary cycle promotion project being run by the (Royal) Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, is all about how the bike allows you to get about the quaint backstreets of the (Royal) Borough (seemingly avoiding pretty well all the traffic that I, strangely, always seem to come up against whenever I cycle there), doing all those daily jobs that you need to, like buying your antiques in Notting Hill  – truly a video aimed at the W11 market. But I must not be too cynical, it really is well-done.

You just can't get enough from Dominic Latham-Koenig on Vimeo.

The second video, well, I don't think it's really a cycle promotion video, but it's kind of related. You will get the point at the end.
